Biography

American dance and house singer Kathy Brown first found chart success in 1993 with a cover of Lace’s Can’t Play Around, produced by David Shaw, which was a Top 20 hit on the Billboard Dance Charts.

Since then, Brown's incredible disco/soul voice has been front and centre on numerous huge records of the last 20 years, including tracks with Namy, Soul Clap, Dr Packer & Dave Morales,

She is perhaps best known, however, for her work with Praxis – a project by Shaw and fellow producer Cevin Fisher - and No.1 smash Turn Me Out, co-written by Brown.

Turn Me Out has been remixed and re-released on a number of occasions leading to two other Billboard Dance chart entries including Turn Me Out (Turn To Sugar), which was released in 1997 and reached No.1.

In 2004, Brown was the lead vocalist on British act Soul Central's Strings Of Life (Stronger On My Own), which reached No.6 on the UK Singles Chart and No.1 on the UK Dance Chart. The single was also a hit in Europe, reaching No.28 on the Eurochart.

Brown continues to collaborate and co-write with such luminaries as Da Hoffna, Standtall, Troy Miller, Revival Records, Brian Tappert (Jazz n Groove, Soulfuric);

Bucks Music Group  MD Simon Platz said: “Kathy has made a huge contribution to the house genre over almost 30 years, and continues to be a prolific performer and writer. She is as creative and ambitious as ever.

Kathy is looking forward to promoting her new music and her latest project with Revival Records.
